Manson Family Betties keep a creepy curbside vigil for their incarcerated leader. The trial lasted a year and these girls were there every day. This is somewhere between when they carved x’s into their foreheads in solidarity with Charlie (who used the X to symbolize his removal from society, maaan), and their later head-shaving, which also had some sort of dopey significance.
The song they sing was written by Manson, in case you couldn’t tell by that opening line, “A dancing clown upon a wall / is calling all to city hall”.
